Beamline for Schools Competition 2019 is supported by the Fund Ernest Solvay, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation.

For the fourth time in the Competition's history, Beamline for Schools (BL4S) is funded in part by the Fund Ernest Solvay, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation. The Fund was one of the first supporters of the CERN & Society Foundation and their continuous encouragement has helped shape the world's future scientists and engineers.

The primary aim of the Fund Ernest Solvay is to promote interest in scientific and technological training and development, both in Belgium and abroad. The Fund achieves this by supporting initiatives in both education and entrepreneurship in science and technology, such as in chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics and earth sciences. 

BL4S has so far engaged more than 8,400 high-school students and 960 teachers from more than 70 countries with Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). We are proud of this achievement.
