National Instruments has renewed its support for the Beamline for Schools Competition in 2017, an education project that gives high-schools students from around the world the opportunity to compete and win the possibility to spend 10 days at CERN performing their own scientific experiment.

National Instruments has been supporting this initiative since it was first launched in 2014. For the fourth year in a row, National Instruments invests in young people, joining forces with CERN & Society to make engaging activities like Beamline for Schools possible. The company will also continue providing the competing students with free copies of its LabVIEW software. With this software, the students can visualize and analyse what is happening at CERN during the experimental week, which represents in itself a valuable educational tool for all participants.
